Sales owns Harvest Select, a year-round potato facility located
in Monte Vista, Colorado. This centrally located facility could
be utilized not only as a source of Colorado package potatoes but
also as a consolidating point for potatoes, onions and pinto beans.
Harvest
Select is located on the 5-mile road
in the heart of the San Luis Valley. We have rail siding that could
be used for both shipping and receiving. In addition, we have a
fleet of tractors and specially equipped trailers that
can be sent to any location in the San Luis Valley if the quality
and price are beneficial to our valued customers.
 Harvest
Select has an on site management team that is dedicated to quality
control and food safety. Our process for selection of potatoes and stringent
packing procedures exceed both federal and state regulations. We have fully
functioning food safety programs including GGP, GHP, HACCP, and Trace and Recall.
We meet AIB specification daily on both cartons and poly products,
and a Colorado state inspector is on duty to inspect all potatoes
packaged by Harvest Select.
All
Products packaged by Harvest Select are coded with the name of the
farmer, date packaged and our identification number. Both cartons
and poly packs can be identified and traced until
final consumption.
